CONSENSO CUBANO ANNOUNCES HUMANITARIAN PLAN –
ASKS FOR LIBERALIZATION OF FAMILY TRAVEL TO CUBA

On Monday, December 4th, Consenso Cubano will announce its Humanitarian Plan, a series of recommendations intended to help facilitate the process of democratic transition in Cuba. The purpose of the initiative is to increase contacts between Cubans in the island and their family members residing in the United States who serve as our most effective vehicle for
communication with the Cuban people, and who during this time of uncertainty, can provide a message of hope and solidarity.

For decades, Fidel Castro has caused the Cuban family to be fractured and separated. It is important that we now help bring the Cuban family back together, re-establish those ties and channels of communication that will help destabilize the regime further, and help bring us closer to a transition to democracy in our homeland.
